Blueberry Funded News Rules: 2-Minute Window & 6-Hour Exception

Understand Blueberry Funded’s news blackout, pending orders, TP/SL, the narrow six-hour stop-loss exception and separate Prime terms.

The general policy: two minutes before and after

Blueberry Funded’s general news policy prohibits opening or closing trades from two minutes before until two minutes after high-impact red-folder events, on evaluations and earning accounts. However, the help center also has a separate Prime news-policy article. Do not replace Prime or other product-specific terms with this general page. Identify the account first, then establish which policy governs it.

Automatic orders are included

The restriction is not limited to manual clicks during the announcement. The source includes pending-order triggers, trade modification and closure, and Take Profit or Stop Loss execution in the window. Placing an order beforehand does not automatically permit its execution during the restricted period. Review orders on affected instruments; a bot or copier is not a documented exemption. Actual execution still affects the account regardless of the software sending it.

The more-than-six-hour exception is narrow

The official update allows a Stop Loss hit during the news window when the position was opened more than six hours before the release. That is not general permission to open or manually close positions during news, nor a documented exemption for every Take Profit. More than does not establish that exactly six hours qualifies. Retain opening, announcement and execution timestamps and request written clarification for borderline cases or trade modifications.

A timing example without assuming a universal time

For an illustrative event at 15:30 in your calendar’s time zone, the mathematical window runs from 15:28 to 15:32. This does not mean every announcement occurs then. Reconcile calendar and platform time zones and daylight saving, and leave a practical margin rather than executing on the exact boundary second. A position opened at 08:00 in the same time zone has exceeded six hours by the event; this illustrates duration only and does not authorize a manual close in the window.

USD news affects more than currency pairs

The official list for USD news includes USD pairs, gold, silver, oil, US30, US100, SP500, BTC/USD and ETH/USD. EUR news is linked to EUR pairs and DAX; GBP news to GBP pairs and FTSE, with additional lists for other currencies. Trading a metal or index does not automatically avoid a currency event’s restrictions. Match your instrument to the official list; this article is not a complete inventory of available assets.

Payout and account consequences differ

The page says profits from restricted-time trades are removed at payout request. If three or more trades in a single request are classified as high-impact news trading, it says the entire payout is voided and the earning account reset to starting balance. Continued news trading across payout periods or during evaluation despite warnings may result in an account breach. These are distinct consequences, not a blanket assertion that one violation instantly closes an account or merely delays payment.

Does it fit a news strategy?

A strategy built around executing at release time conflicts with this general policy. An old stop or automated order is not sufficient protection against all violations. A swing strategy may qualify for the narrow stop-loss exception but must still follow other holding and execution rules. Read your product’s own policy, especially for Prime, and compare current company information. Do not arbitrarily remove risk protection to avoid a recorded violation; plan around the event before entry.
